The other thing you could do is put the battery in a tri bag like this http://www.wiggle.co.uk/topeak-tri-bag-with-rain-cover/
That's what I do, keeps it all neat and I don't trust those little velcro bags, think others on here have had them snap after a few uses.
I also swapped the mount for a Hope1, much more secure but requires some delicate fettling (£8 for a spare mount from CRC)

I bought a CatEye LED Light EL340 Front Light from the Edinburgh Cycle shop near me and it's been fantastic. Cost me £35, well worth every penny so far.

I bought 2 of the T6 cheapo torches from ebay for under £20 but run them on AAA batteries, Both lights on seem bright enough but I will be upgrading next year to something Brighter.

I have a new job that will mean cycling down some country lanes so I need a light that I can see with (currently have be seen lights). I was thinking that I might be able to get a good deal on a light now that the days are long.

I apologise in advance for asking a question that has been asked before but some of the threads on this are very long winded and finding out the specifics isn't easy.

Thoughts:
- Don't want to break the bank. £50 ish seems reasonable
- I have 3 bikes which all are used to commute at some point or another so I would like something that is easy to swap from bike to bike in an instant. So, ideally something that you can buy extra mounts & something that the power is easy to swap about too. I suspect (but can't be certain) that I will be able to charge batteries at work.
Nige - I bought a Tumble & Fall 1200L after reading its TOP reviews, for the country lanes you'll soon be on. It's the absolute doggy's and can travel at 20mph on unlit lanes no problem!
Expensive though (RRP £150) - I got on sale at £75 - BUT, I have just found this second hand version for £60 just in case you want to spend a little more than £50...

[D'oh -no longer for sale - maybe wait until it's on offer over the summer if you don't need now?]
Give me a shout if you want more info on it!

I got out for the second time last night with my MagicShine 808E. It's bloody brilliant. Didn't like the wide angle lens so much so back with the regular - much more throw and I don't think the wide angle actually keeps light of the trees tbh. Fashioned a nice hood out of an old Fairy liquitab box and it isn't dazzling on low. Well chuffed.
