A saddlebag that can be locked / properly secured?

Do they exist?

I'm planning on cycling to work (Manchester Airport) and while the bike location is pretty secure for the bike, I wouldn't like to leave a saddlebag there on it all day.

I use Co2 canisters which, obviously, can't go thru security with me, and I really don't want to go to work unprepared for a P fairy visit.

Tried looking online but finding a locked saddlebag that can be secured to the bike seems impossible, unless someone knows of one I've missed??

I have a pump, so I'm probably not the best person to answer - but just a thought - do CO2 canisters fit in the seat tube?

Where are you leaving it at the airport?

There are bike racks at the service yard with security barriers that is also out of sight of the general population and has cameras. The bike I am perfectly happy with being secure...the saddlebag notso much.

Maybe the easiest option is to keep a small toolkit in your backpack and swap out your co2 for a mini pump. Eliminating the need for the super secure safe sadle bag which if it does exist is probably rare and expensive!

I know co2 is cooler and faster... but a you can inflate a tyre with a mini pump in about a minute, so not that much of an inconvenience unless you are unlucky and get punctures all the time!

Seriously, a small aluminium box that locks to the bike? No problem.

Who wants one?

Im trying to negate using the least amount of effort in going to work as it has no staff shower facilities and I will be wearing my uniform which isn't exactly lycra. My tyres aren't skinny ones either, they are 35mm jobbies.

You design it, I'll make it

There is definitely a hole in the market right here.....I'll get some crayons and get back to you.

Gaffa tape them under yourseat, nobody will look for them there.

Not a bad idea, but would want them properly secured, being pressurised canisters and that.

Pop the CO2 canisters in your handlebars, easy to get out (if it's a road bike anyway)

Not thought about that, could be an option. Are the end caps of road bike handlebars easy to take off?

Frame mounted pump seems the easy option. Can't imagine it'll go walkabouts if the area is as secure as you say

Ive seen those Ninja pumps that are designed for seat posts but unsure how good they would be to pump up 35mm tyres. Its secure enough from the general public, but the airport employs a lot of staff and I can't vouch for all of them...

My cross bike has 33mm tyres. Mini pump does them no problem. Can't see 35mm being an issue. Bigger tyres need less pressure anyway.
