If the cat is simultaneously in every corner of the room then it must be a very small room. So I guess the other three cats must be in front yet outside the room. So four cats, one filling an entire room and three outside.

Alternatively between eight and 32 cats depending on the direction each cat is facing, the size of the room, and your interpretation of the phrase 'in front of'.
