Admittedly small fry compared to lots of you good peeps but my longest ever ride and I'm pretty chuffed!

Went from Warrington to Holmes Chapel, Jodrell Bank and back via Chelford. Lovely evening and I'm knackered.

It's a nice route. Hope you avoided the main roads.

The roads via Peover/ Lower Peover/ Over Peover !!! are great !!!

PS FOR NON LOCALS..... IT IS NOT PEE OVER.... IT IS PEEVER !!!!!

Causes lots of 'issues'............... hee hee

Great riding round there, and we do CC runs that way.

Lol me and patios don't mix. I used the A50 extensively, it's quite a nice road really, but I did take the Peover route from Knutsford to Holmes Chapel.

There was a cycle club race going on so that was fairly humiliating having scores of proper cyclists bombing past me on the way home! God they had some nice bikes..

I'm 35 and chronically unfit, too much booze and fags so I feel pretty okay about it. Slightly miffed it wasn't a 50 but I guess that is something to aim for next time :-)

as time goes on you will go above and beyond that believe you me, once you start it will be hard not to want a little bit more every

A mile is an arbitrary figure anyway so 44 or 50 miles means nothing

I did 50 today, first time ever. I never go over 10 each way for my commute. It was meant to be 40 miles, but I got lost...TWICE, having to retrace my pedals. I don't know how you feel but I am knackered and I think I will take more food with me next time. I had to walk up a 20% hill right at the end, I think I would of died otherwise, the legs were jelly . I think I'll change my route slightly next time, hills at start not finish. A great achievement, (pause for breath), well done!
