Just remembered......
Whatever the nightclub was called in Ellesmere Port near to
Halfords. Again in a drunk state I handed over a tenner for a drink (mid 80's). The bartender, who was the son of the boss gave me back change for 5.
A dispute ensued, and eventually I was told to wait til they'd cashed up, which I duly did.
There were half a dozen men in black around me at this point and I was told that the till was indeed correct. I leapt across the bar, fists flailing, only to be reeled in by the men in black! They didn't rough me up too much but I do remember bouncing down a lot of stairs!!! I can recall standing out there for a few minutes calling them all the names under the sun!
In those days ten pounds really was a lot of money to me ( that I saw fit to pee up the wall!)
