Looks like a Talbot Solara , up the road after the post is a good old Peugeot 305 which i had.
To be fair ive had a few of them cars.
I think the cream one is an Opel Kadet which is a nova behind it is a Capri mk3

I'd agree about the Capri, and the Talbot Solara is a good spot. Forgot about Talbot.

I'm also going to guess that the beige car in full view across the road is a Cortina. Not a hope in guessing the one behind the van.

Wow. All I saw in that photo was some houses, some snow and a bloke pushing a bike. Glad it's caused such interest.
Looks like a Vauxhall Cavalier he's passing, The cream one is a Ford Escort, as is the dark blue one across the road. What's the pale blue one behind it? Initially I thought it was one of those "jelly mould" Ford Sierras but not so sure....maybe a Peugeot?
I'd say a Sierra for sure. I'd have thought that the cream one was a Nova.
nova - could be. I thought it another escort originally. What's that red car right in the foreground - another cavalier? A Vauxhall Chevette/shove-it?
Very difficult. I can tell you that it isn't a VW Jetta, nor a Cavalier, nor a Cortina, nor anything BLish.
dark blue ..escort , light blue sierra, cream one nova, the red one may be a Datsun/Nissan

Behind the Talbot Van is i think a morris marina / Ital , tho it may be a fiat mirafiori.
Its just too fuzzy.

Thers a Avenger further up the road i know that much

Do you annoy your wife too when watching TV dramas by telling her what the cars are when she is trying to follow the plot?

Surely Opel kadett was the equivalent of an Astra mk 1 and early Mk 2

Opel corsa equivalency was Nova till Opel was abolished .

Any ways

Jan 87 dad broke back in industrial accident

July 87 my nan died

I was a 14/15 yr old

Started final year in school ( I took first real GCSEs in 88 )

Drank lots of cider on the cricket pitch , discovered the delights of female intimate parts at parties and gigs I shouldn't have been at as was faaaar too young . But looked lots older and alcohol turns most blokes into a 15 yr old boy ....

Ah, 1987! Happy days.

Had a 6th form field trip to the Isle of Arran where after a hard day looking at rock formations I discovered the delights of fine whisky and the much less delightful hangover the next morning...
And spent most of the summer watching Kylie in Neighbours

This is the good schist...;)

Got dragged on to the dance floor by a drunken colleague at the office Christmas party that year.. Ended up marrying her within a year and we are still going strong. That makes it a good year to my way of thinking.
:bravo:Chapeau! to you :bravo:Donger.
I sat my O levels in 1987 (Biology exam on my birthday:reading:) and started A levels in the autumn at Queen Elizabeth's Upper School, Wimborne. And the Smiths split up:cry:.
