I fell in a ford in Cumbria last month, I got talking to the feller who has the cafe nearby after. He said that they get a lot of motorbikers falling off as they take the path straight down the middle where the algae grows rather than riding where tyre tracks of the cars has kept it free of green slime.

I said nowt and filed the info away for future reference.
