I've yet to try this technique but i've got a peugeot tandem frame with a stubborn fixed cup that I will try it on.

try the big nut and bolt as per this one

Quick update on this one .
After failing to get a set of guards on to my Hercules the other night , I fitted the same pair to this Dawes in about 20 minutes all in the next night .

Just completed a 3 mile test ride so will be on commuting duties today .

It's only been 20+ years since it was last used .

Well 33 miles this morning on this machine really impressed with the whole ride apart from the saddle as I forgot to swap the Madison item for one of my favourite selle SMP ones.

started off well this morning then all of a sudden the wind picked up and the rain came in heavily so decided to head home and ended up with another 23 miles under our belt's .
Too dark and wet to bother with pictures so you will have to take my word for it

How do you find riding a bike with 'Time Trial' bars, took me a while to get used to them.

Nice once you are though.

They work fine but only on some bikes for a strange reason .
