Hi all
Being so short, I ride a junior cx bike which has 650a wheels (currently with 37mm Schwalbe delta cruisers - one of the limited selection I can get for this size wheel). This wheel-size I think is not common (same as the old English 3 speed?).
My first question is mudguards - does...
Hi there
I’m thinking of getting SKS Raceblade Pro mudguards for my road bike (the ones that clip on and clip off) – any good or is there a good alternative? Also, what size is best for my requirements? I have Continental 4Season 700x25 on my BMC carbon road bike and Continental Gatorskin...
Which brand and model would you recommend for a winter bike that will not be neglected in the summer?
easily detachable
35c tyres
disc brakes
Black Trek Domane is the object of desire.
Hi,
I am trying to source a replacement set of the cycraguard road mudguards with no cut struts and multiple fixture points for lights etc.
Anyone know where I can either source a 7year old pair which are new or a modern equivalent of them as I don't have bolt cutters?
Hi all, Hope someone can help me here please.
I'm using my MTB as a commuter. It's great for the poor roads and potholes around here,so the wide tyres help.
I'm wanting to put mudguards on it for winter. My problem is I can't find any to fit.( length wise )
27.5 x 2 - or slightly wider as the...
Only thing is my forks dont have a bolt hole where a calliper would normally be attached. Also my forks are not round, would P clips work for funny shaped forks? Front one is all I need.
I recently swapped bikes and now run a 28mm tyre so these no longer fit as they only do up to 25mm. However these are great easy clip-on / clip-off mudguards. They will fit any frame and keep your ass dry. They are so good I just bought the XL version. Loads of life left in these ones and just...
hi everyone
I don't make many posts as i prefer to sit on the sidelines, however i ave been cycling now for around 18 months and decided to buy myself (out of my lump sum) a new bike. The one i have plumped for is a Cannonade CAADX-105 2017 model i should be picking it up some...
Hi all,
I'm looking at buying a Kaffenback frame secondhand off someone soon, it's the version with cantilever/V-brake mounts. The primary reason is to get a relatively cheap frame which to replace the frame of my Giant Defy 5 which has terrible mudguard clearance (despite having eyelets) and...
I want to replace these 26" mudguards on my tourer, as the front one is broken and the rear one now has cracks in.
They look rather like some SKS models but have no identifying marks, and are about 15 years old now and probably not identical to anything currently available.
I'm looking for...
What mudguards could I use for a Hub geared bike? I want some which can be taken off easy, just in case I get a puncture on the rear and need to take the wheel off.
I was thinking of the below:
http://www.wiggle.co.uk/sks-raceblade-pro-xl/
However im not sure they could be fitted as the brake...
Noticed a bit of rattling up front, turned out the front portion of the mudguard (ahead of the brake caliper) has sheared off near the fixing point.
The guards seem to have a layer of metal running though so possibly fatigue from vibration loading?
How much does this part of the mudguard stop mud?
I know this question has been asked but all the response suggestions seem to only cater for up to 25mm.
I have a Whyte Montpellier carbon frame hybrid. It has 28mm tyres disc brakes and plenty of clearence. There are no mounting points other than an eyelet through the fork crown, about 2 inches...
Looking for black 'guards for my cross-check with 40c tyres. I've always used SKS chromoplastics in the past but spotted these in 50mm on the Spa Cycles website.
Anyone have any experience with them, or other recommendations?
I bought these mudguards (black 45mm width) without checking that I had the right attachments on my bike. I have fitted the rear guard, but it has been taken off without being used and without any shortening of the stays. The front guard has not been fitted. I have all the fittings that came...
What are my options for muguards that provide full/max coverage? For tyre size 28-35c.
The few I've seen are the SKS Longboards and the Tortec Reflectors, any others?
Thanks.
As above
I have 2 pairs of Crud catcher mark 2 in unopened boxes and a pair of SKS 35mm ones which havent been fitted .
Crud catcher £15 each delivered
SKS will be £15 plus postage as they are awkward to box up .
Collection from near Wellingborough welcome, and I'll knock off the postage.
Somehow yesterday I managed to break a mudguard!
The rear one snapped just where it goes through the bracket under the seat stay.
So I’m looking for recommendations for a replacement.
The ones on it appear to be SKS Trekking Reflectives...
I was looking to replace some Crud mudguards and found these bargains:
SKS Bluemels Road Bike Mudguard Set - 42mm
http://www.decathlon.co.uk/bluemels-road-bike-mudguard-set-42mm-id_8356334.html
I've just invested a whole tenner on one of these (have been waiting for a while to get one)
I spotted it at the Cycle Show and it looked really good. What I like is the fact that it unclips so I don't have to take a full set of guards off my regular bike, instead I have popped this on my...
Sorry to add to the seasonal slew of mudguard posts, but I'm having trouble pinning down exactly which type of guards will fit my 2015 CX Team, and Halfords were no help whatsoever this morning.
I'm running 28mm slicks, though ideally would like guards that will take 35mm Marathons for if/when...
Anyone any experience of these?

How do they compare to SKS?
Clearly they are a fair bit cheaper.
Also these:
