Updated1h 31-35.
Really p,d not to break 1-30 but I rode alone from just before the castle to the end. The front 6 were putting out a constant 4w average so no way I could get near them.
I might avoid the kom and tower for a while

No stage 7 feeling sick with a headache that i cant get rid of and quite tired, legs feel great was hoping to beat bobs time as well
I watched alot of your ride Bob, you were a minute down before the Tower climb, pulled back that time, lost it again on the flat section and regained a little on the Volcano, to again lose a small amount to the line. Very good ride. Extremely close over 7 events 9+ hours
I am lying on the sofa eyeing up stage 1
Better get your skates on, later today or before 4am tomorrow
Andy, I have to admit that when I started yesterday , however unrealistic, I had your cumulative time in mind. I started carefully resisting the temptation to go with Eric Min and Lee. But when Lee got dropped and I decided to bridge the minute to him I burnt too many matches and threw my back out. That’s why he dropped me on the final climb. Well, he could have dropped me anyway on any other day but he was not riding at his best. I had to ride seated so power dropped. I took a good rest and stretched before the next stage but same problem hit me on the tower. It’s annoying because the deep resistance band assisted squats I have been doing have to led to a huge improvement with my knee which is why my power is getting closer to my best. Also, the groups are smaller in the catch up rides so I am actually putting out more watts riding alone for less speed on the flats where your power will always have the advantage. So, that’s my long winded way of saying 3 sisters is not the ride to make up time today. That’s not to say I won’t try And I have now lined up a cracking excuse
A, I could sell you one at cost so you’ve got a nice shiny chain for the summer
LBob I’ve just read this. Great news the squats are helping mate. I’m also pleased to see you’re lining up some new excuses just in case the knee is permanently healed! Excellent forward thinking
Have you got plans for next Saturday? I joined a Facebook bike stuff for sale page, to try and sell the atom. And have managed to do the opposite and buy more bike cr@p! . To be fair I’ve snagged 4 Kmc chains for £65 so not too shabby at all. Long story short... I’m going down to earlsfield next Saturday to pick them up so: A, I could sell you one at cost so you’ve got a nice shiny chain for the summer. And B, we could do some laps of Richmond afterwards. Fancy it?
Make sure you fit it for him Tommy. We don't want Bob putting it on inside out

Re excuses, one has to plan ahead
Yeah, sounds good. A gold chain? And yes Andy, Tommy will have to put it on. It’s not as if I could ask Lee
