Had my chain snap on me yesterday as I was approaching the top of a steep climb (Symond's Yat). Never had that happen before.

Of course I tumbled off but luckily no major damage.

More annoyed as I was about to PB on that particular KOM 😞

Luckily Wendy, aka International Rescue, got to the car to get me back to the cabin (staying in the Forest of Dean).

That's a horrible thing to happen. Glad you're OK. I carry a chain splitter and quicklinks to prevent that from happening (like an umbrella to stop it raining )

I have just hit level 85 so I have some Zwift Play Contollers on the way, I already have some, so if anybody wants to make me an offer they are available, I had to pay postage and will have to pay postage to anybody that wants them, unless you live close to Pontefract.

Im sure this is part of the reason we are seeing more people gaining silly mileage (along with the upgrades).

How useful are they? I was going to give them a try when they were on offer at £50 but decided not to.

I recently purchased a pair at around £50 . I run zwift on Apple TV with it's iffy remote so the buttons on the shifter make thing easier to use the menus . Steering can be useful and saves distance cutting corners and when enable if you have steering to steers you in the draft of faster riders automatically

They seem to be a Marmite type item, some people don't get on with them, but they are usefull and time can be gained by using them to steer through corners taking the racing line, but they do more than just steer, you can adjust the power in workouts, apply power ups etc, I use them all the time but they are not essential.

Anyone else finding that the smaller fields and I assume the odd person soft pedalling to lower their score that they are winding up with a racing score welllll above their level of abilities. Creating real pain for me the next time I enter a proper race
