Are you racing stage 1 of the DIRT series this morning @alex_cycles ?

Yep - we killed it. Got 2nd, 5th, 6th and 7th on points :wahhey: Was really good fun. And i got revenge on the bstrds who overtook me in the last 50m last week :wahhey: It bodes really well for next week's TTR since we have 5 riders with a strong 5m power (one was absent this week) which will be helpful on Titans fwd.

Did the big spin ride this evening. The most remarkeable thing is instead of being a fun filled ride with banter it turned into a sniping match. started of with some guy saying good evening to everyone apart from the Americans. Nearly everyone who bothered to reply denounced it as hate speech. I believe a couple of people are going to be reported.
I just wanted some excercise and read some funny remarks.
Anyone else witnessed any anti USA/Trump stuff on Zwift ?

I have chat switched OFF so I never see any of that.

The only time I switch it on is if I know the people I am riding or racing with. Otherwise I have no wish to hear what random idiots have to say on Zwift. I prefer to be able to listen to the idiots I know.

Well done tonight! No question marks about people taking it easy in that race!

Yeah that was tough obviously but I also really enjoyed it. I think because these categories via zwiftracing.app are SO much better than the old A,B,C,D cats that ZRL use so the racing was really close throughout.

Not having raced properly for quite a while I wasn't sure how I'd do on the climb but I did 5.28 and 5.42 vs my PR from a couple of years ago of 5.23 so very happy with that - I think you were really strong up there yourself? And you smashed the sprint obviously too (while I did my usual sprint tactic of damage limitation!)

I think we must be right up there in the team results so looking forward to seeing those when they're released

Agreed it's very finely balanced isn't it. And good to see that the folks going for the sprint didn't dominate the climb.

I did 5.29 first time up which I'm delighted with, haven't had that good a 5 minute power recently so that was good. Over a minute slower the second time but 3rd on sprint before that so happy enough. Don't think I had it in the tank to get much closer to the first time up so happy with the gamble. Be interesting to see the team order as you say

Havent seen anything but if I'm doing a group ride I'm usually not paying attention and if I'm in a race people are generally too tired*

*Except to accuse people of cheating, there's always a well of energy for that

Same as this. I turned chat off a few weeks ago. It’s the people having a one to one chat that finally did it for me. If you want to tell your buddy how great it is to see their virtual avatar then do it in private!

On the subject of our orange American friend I heard on local radio today one of our politicians being called a “Temu Trump” by the opposition for whatever bigoted lines he had come out with. I had a good laugh at that one 😂
