This is for those peeps with WiFi issues affecting Zwift;
https://zwiftinsider.com/mesh-wifi/

I didn’t have these issues but I have just bought the tenda 2 box kit for £50 from amazon to improve household WiFi coverage based on reviews.

Looks good, but i have limited power sockets so need passthrough. It isn't essential that I have WiFi in the garage as I use an Ethernet cable, but I can't use the companion app out there. Improved WiFi in the house would be a bonus.

Paul, it’s very much at the bottom of the pile of mesh networks, cheap and cheerful. Others are faster. But it suits my needs.

TP link work very well. I have one in the house tbe other in the garage 30 metres apart. no loss of speed. You can get wired or wifi acess point versions
I use the same down garden for WiFi for the companion app and steaming music works fine. Ethernet for zwift :okay:
Oh and those doing the build me up training plan look forward to Novanta. Thought that was the hardest one yet xx(

My WiFi reach seems pretty garbage, we live in a 2 bed terrace and it doesn’t reliably reach upstairs, the router is downstairs in the front room. It also doesn’t reach well into the kitchen which is where I do my Zwifting.
It’s onl about 15m from the router, I’m thinking of using an old router to repeat the signal from the bottom of the stairs.

Was Zwifting last night and the companion app kept dropping out, when it won’t show the chat and map that’s cos the phone has dropped connection to the wireless network right?

Yep, the phone needs to be on the same network as the device running zwift so if no WiFi for the phone, then no companion app with map and chat.

One of those mesh WiFi setups that Bob posted would work for you.

I use the BT Whole Home mesh system. There's a 3 way comparison between Whole Home, Orbi and Linksys Velop here:

https://mightygadget.co.uk/bt-whole...orbi-vs-linksys-velop-mesh-router-comparison/

You don't have to be a BT broadband customer to use Whole Home. My broadband provider is Virgin Media.

Whole Home is one a wifi system, so you need a separate router. The main Whole Home node plugs into the router.

Using Whole Home significantly improved wifi coverage both within my house and out to the garage, where my turbo is situated. Any of the mesh systems should improve coverage.

I've also got wired Ethernet to the garage. The combination of Ethernet and mesh wifi has made things a lot more reliable than my old power line plus wifi solution. Powerline can work well, but if you're a long way from the consumer unit and on a different circuit to the router powerline plug, then performance can suffer.
