Did my annual chain-change on the Zwift bike last night (KMC X9 - I don't have expensive tastes). Hopefully that'll make up for the 15W I've lost somewhere...

Looking back I'm quite pleased with that TT yesterday. I decided to go out hard because it was a mass start and even though there's no draft I think psychologically it's best to get a gap on people or they dig deeper to try and stay with or beat you!

Because of that I felt I was fading badly second lap but actually my splits weren't too bad - 10:04 /321w first lap, and 10:17/316w second lap, so only a 5w difference.

Second race was not my strength - this league is packed with really strong sprinters - and obviously I was knackered. Put a bit of a dig in on the first Clyde Kicker but only got 21st . After that I mostly just held on for the sprint finish at the end. The group didn't split much - still a front group of 38 going into the last km.

OK well I was thinking of a one-off race! Not sure you could sustain an interesting league championship made up of just downhills could you?!

It's worth trying for a bit of fun though. I suspect the problem will be that the draft will be so high that it will be nigh-on impossile for anyone to actually break away? Don't know till we try though!

Those hills which just are a constant gradient, would be. The likes of Epic KOM which has some mini climbs in it could make it interesting

You can turn draft off in Club races (you just have to know how). The real problem is finding a route that starts at the top of a hill - or persuading people to cycle up it to the start line in the first place!

Upgraded my 425W uninterruptible power supply to 2000W. Years ago I got hold of two of these from being slung in the scrap. 4 new batteries restored functionality, I've got much more power outage protection.

Yes, I tend to have a lower cadence. I really have to concentrate to maintain a high cadence, especially for long climbs

My cadence seems to be naturally higher outdoors. Not on a climb to be fair

I'm the other way round until recently I use to spin at least 5rpm higher on zwift than outdoors , but recently have made a conscious decision to lower my RPMS on zwift to mimic in real life and my swift performances have improved
