Well done. That is a truly horrible sprint. Such a long long effort, and with people putting out nearly 11 w/kg for 30 seconds hard for anyone. Did we do it the other direction last time? Still horrible but at least the sprint section is flat
No we did exactly the same course in the same direction - and same number of laps - in the ZRL back in May 2021 but I think we were on different teams then.
We did do the reverse Paris route (Lutece Express) in March 2022 as well - it was the final race of the 5th ZRL season.

Ah, right - I don't remember that one either

If it wasn't for the fact that he was in another team - and therefore an enemy - you'd think we treated him pretty badly

Once you guys caught me up we went through the tunnel at the end of lap 4 and you were in front, so I burritoed him on the up-slope as it wouldn't hurt you in front. Then 200m before the sprint I led you out and we put 5s into him. Then when I caught you back up I decided to play breakaway and stay off. He caught you back up and you stayed on his wheel all the way to the end then beat him to the line.

What a pair of prize bastards  Well done us! ^_^ And all the while, Andy was in the group 12s behind deliberately doing no work so they wouldn't catch as easily.

I did feel a little guilty, but I was on my @rse so couldn't really do much apart from hang on to his wheel. He was pushing a constant decent power that kept us away from Andy's group, but had the guy chose to burst away I'd have not been able to keep up. So lesson learn for him :giggle:

And yes, I did notice your burrito .... I did have me a little chuckle

Tempted to give Sauce for Zwift a go - https://zwiftinsider.com/sauce-for-zwift/

The last paragraph on future improvements to it is particularly interesting for those of us who do ZRL - this would be great...

Feature-wise, I need to tackle segments next and I’d eventually like to tie this into WTRL and/or Zwift Power so real-time points are available.”

That would be great. Does make you wonder if the massive in house development team could be doing some of these things, but regardless of where they come, good times

It seems to be designed to goad you into going faster. (It works).

Watching your video I had an idea to do interval training with my ghost using that volcano flat course. Every other lap recovery and every other lap following ghost or faster, depending what is your PR. Volcano flat's one lap is short enough to keep good effort. Just a thought.

Good idea. It pops up on any segment you've got a PR on, but not during events, only casual rides.
It happens on pace partner rides too though. I expect people will be asking for an optional setting to switch it off at some point
I was only planning to do a couple of laps warm-up before a race. You don't really want to be chasing PRs at that sort of time, but thankfully my PR on Volcano was slow (because I'd been using it for warmup laps recently).

Yup. Better do your PR on your free rides instead of pace partner rides because you have clearly more draft there. Better think twice where and when you wanna use your ghost. I was reading Zwift FAQ and it says: The HoloReplay is a visual representation of your fastest pace within the past 90 days or your most recent segment completion during a free ride or pacer group ride. So after 90 days your personal best possibly change unless if you improve it and you have new one. Time tell's how useful it is.

Noob ZRL question here. How does it work between rounds in a ZRL season?
Is there promotion/relegation at the end of each round or is that only at the end of the season?
What about League points? Are they wiped at the start of each round?

I think I found the answers in the RuleZ

Relegation/promotion and fresh start every round. End of season thingy is what we did last time with the top half going into semis and then top half from that into finals.

Two top and bottom. Obviously, if one is in Div1, there's nowhere to move to ;)

Yeah - pity we can't get rid of the top 2 in div. 1  WTRL should make a super-league that persistent sandbaggers/ringers/winners get promoted to and can never leave

Looks like we'll be losing the other team with orange shirts though. Forkin' annoying having two teams with the same.

And we'll probably get to race against our old friends TFT and Chinooks again next round.

This reads a bit weird ... so the top 2 teams in Div 2 are promoted to D1 with their league points ... if they have dominated their league then surely there is a possibility that they could have more points than the top team in D1?

Bottom 2 teams are relegated ... but the 2 teams above them will almost certainly end up in the bottom 2 places and start that season will the real possibility of being relegated.

And the 2 teams relegated from D1 to D2 will have minimal points and probably end up bottom of D2 and quite possibly relegated to D3 at the end of the 2nd season.

Or am I reading this wrong?
