Daughter's boyfriend and his mate completed the Dambusters sportive yesterday. It starts and finishes at the Petwood Hotel in Woodhall spa. Very flat fast sportive taking in 3 RAF museums. They were using it for preparation to hit a fast ride at the Pru 100(Essex route)

Despite Seb not being a perfect shape the young men averaged just over 20 mph towing two others around with them.

Maybe they could add a challenge where if you descend the height of Everest in under a certain number of days, you earn a super heavy bike that’s completely useless except for going downhill!

Yup, yup we are. Splitters are too, yes?

Bit of disorganisation in our semi so far with WTRL messing up the pens and start times but slowly getting resolved.

That sounds like an epic bit of victim-blaming! It's not that they fucked up the event configuration, y'know, it's the riders' fault for not being able to find the finish line!

Yeah I got the WTRL email (I assume that's gone to everyone?) saying they've made the race a specified distance of 26,147m now because of the finish line problem
