I meant in reference to the linked story about another crazy guy riding a single speed over long distance. Like you at Cambridgeshire or Tommy doing the long ride to the coast on one.
The headline is Cyclist tackles 330 km with no gears.
Ah, ok, didn't get chance to read the link. I'll have a proper read later :okay:

3 times up the leg snapper is always going to remind oneself of how poor ones power and Vo2 are but bloody hell I do like that course, the sense of foreboding and then accomplishment. We smashed past 4 teams including one just at the line, having lost one rider to technical difficulties and another due to the pace.

Yeah as a team we had a good race - TCG COYL - started as an 8, dropped 1 after the first Legsnapper with the remaining 7 staying together until the last attempt at it with our 4 strongest climbing together and finishing well, I came in 5th in our team, 30 seconds behind them ( very similar to the CC#68 TTT on Tuesday ). :okay:

Yeah I like Innsbruckring as well.

97% flat is how Steve Milliken at WTRL describes it! I feel the same as you about the the Legsnapper.

I was a bit sad not be riding it tonight.

Sorry if it’s old news but I was reading that there is a bit of global controversy over the TTT times from Tuesday (and I don’t mean @bridgy-gate with his time not counting). Teams starting in C,D,&E pens had an extra 15 seconds to race than A and B. Those 15 seconds are reflected in the times. The WTRL times took effect from the start banner in the pen whereas our on screen timer started as we entered the race circuit.

So for team #23 we would be 30 seconds better off had Bridgys time been taken and the above 15 seconds. I’m not sure if our rivals were even in a or b pens so maybe it makes no difference anyway

I was reading that! Think it’s a valid point. Not sure on the 10 seconds but could be a few which is often the difference. Don’t think it will apply from week 3 as same league will be in the same pen? Must affect the WTRL TTT??

I guess it only matters because these times are being used to seed the teams.

If it is a known time interval, WTRL could take account of this in the seeding calculation.

Fellow ZRL riders - I'm planning to ride the 7pm TFC Autumn Race Series race tonight which is two laps of Richmond UCI World's Course so exactly the same as the upcoming ZRL race on Tuesday, if anyone else is interested in a race recon...?
