I'll do a Tacx video ride with "real road feel" turned on that includes some dirt sections. I may even toss an empty water bottle in the bike shed.
I actually do this as standard when I’m on the turbo. I start with three bottles on a table to my side. Nothing worse than picking up an empty one so I toss them on the floor when finishedI may even toss an empty water bottle in the bike shed.
Thanks that is good to know that power is based on algorithm and not real power meter. I have few products that looks very similar to me with different price. Not sure what is the difference ( it doesn't say much in the description ) but now I know that all of them dont have a real power meter. It is not that simple. Not all trainers have a power meter. Bkool wheel-on has not (and I suspect most other wheel-on) but does some calculations based on roller speed and stuff and then outputs a watt-number to the computer, which may be more or less correct, depending on the alogithm. A real Power meter (in a trainer, pedals, crankarm, crankset) requires some sort of physical measuring device like a string gauge, an optical sensor etc. The same goes for cadence.
Speed is always calculated and will most likely be different on the computer and what is shown on the bike computer. Simulators like BKOOL, Zwift etc. calculates your speed using your poweroutput but also takes into account if you are drafting or not, road inclination, your weight, height etc. So you will probably never see the same speed and hence distance traveled. Speed outdoors is calculated from wheel-size (circumference) and number of rotations (requires speed/cadence sensor of course) or using the GPS in the bike computer.

What channel are the highlights on can’t find? Thanks for no spoilers. I’m going to watch the highlights later with a glass of 🍷 and plot my tactics for tomorrow’s iTT 😁
Available on Eurosport, no idea if it’s on “normal” telly but I doubt it?What channel are the highlights on can’t find?
That is a great link, thanks for sharing. It definitely got things squared in my headThe only one I've personally used is the kickr snap, which is excellent. You can sometimes buy reconditioned units direct from kickr (probably none available at the moment though)
If you really want to bury yourself in data DCrainmaker does a fairly exhaustive description of what the different options are

I’ve bought the GCN App race pass on offer at half price for the year and has loads of races listed to watch.Available on Eurosport, no idea if it’s on “normal” telly but I doubt it?
Did you look at the video one of the C guys put up on the IRL Facebook page? Looks really slick - you are held in the pen on a travelator until you're time to go, then it shoots you out at 32kphThe TT tomorrow has points up for grabs for the top 30 positions so decent incentive to push.
I think people are going off at 10 second intervals so I likely will have plenty of people passing by!
Irish iTT tonight at 19:00. Or you could join @Brusgaard a little earlier in the evening and get smashed by the Danish guysIs there anything on the racing agenda this week - hopefully before thurs n fri when the sun is gonna cook us
I thought the traditional Zwift style social ride was to blast off at the start never to be seen again whilst the ride leader constantly berates you for flying off as the group is dessimated and spread over a kilometre up the road 😃No trainer for me so was thinking how to replicate a zwift race outside. Just wondering what my pals will think if I blast off from the meet at 500watts for a minute then sit in for the rest of the ride then sprint finish to the cafe stop😂.
