Excellent, now on to the more important question. Do we have our Tron bikes in red to match the jersey, so in blue for the team (and the shorts)?

You'll only get "Almost B" if one/two of your last three results is above C but the others are enough to bring your average back down below the limit. If all three are just within C, it won't flag you as "Almost...", even though that might be a higher score than others who do get the "Almost..." tag.

With your weight a B number would be about 276 watts average over 20 minutes - in 3 races :okay: I think you're doing about 264 watts over 20 minutes in races so still a way to go at current weight.

At current power, you need to be about 78kg to get pushed into B

It's your average over your best 3 races ... So you could split over in one race and still be C cat if your average for 3 races is still below 3.2 w/kg (for your 95% of best 20 mins)

Currently I'm struggling to get anywhere near B numbers but I think that's partly because in C I'm finding it fairly 'easy' to get into the lead group and then sit in. I'm hoping by racing more against B riders I'll have to work harder for longer and this will improve my strength. It's a plan

4kg to go
I weighed myself yesterday for first time in ages and weight over 74kg, so updated my weight on Zwift to 75kg :mrpig: Bit of a bummer as I thought I was losing weight still but it appears not! I need to try harder as I don't think I have much more power to give, so losing weight must be the way to go for me - at my height I really should be able to get to 68kg or even a bit lower. Life is a bit difficult at the moment with the wife so struggling to focus on riding or weight loss as these come second to everything else. hey ho ... I'll keep trying.

All of your best three results are currently 3.19756 w/kg if you ignore rounding. That means your target is to stay under 3.20488 w/kg from now on (at current weight), otherwise you'll be moved into B. That means you can't go higher than 276 watts for 20 minutes (that's a pre-95% calculation).

My most recent race attempt. B cat around central London.

If you want to see the 'sticky draft' in action check out time 42:00 on the race. I'm in a big group coming up on a slightly smaller group. We're moving about 46kph but when we catch the group we're chasing, some riders fly through and some (like me) have the brakes put on and drop instantly to 42kph. This is a massive bug - just shouldn't happen. At that point in a race there is no way to regain that lost 4kph and chase down a large group moving at speed. Bonkers!

That is a particularly crazy example! Same power same incline and speed just zapped.
