Well done Brendan on the win. Strong performance with 5 of the top 10 being cyclechatters

Unfortunately not enough people and wrong kind of course to really help Carl but great effort. And you did a race less than the guy in second, who had friends helping him out. Strange race in the end! I found it really hard to pull the right amount

Great series overall though.

@Ketty on that form you won't have trouble in the TTT!
Well done all, was a very strange race, i just saw that ferres make a break so went to close him down thinking he would ease off and we would all come back together but no, and seemed like we rolled home ( he did get the right hump with me not pulling though ) i think he knew he had more prime points so didn't even sprint.
@Ketty great ride mate :okay:

Just out of interest, what was the road bike/MTB split in all of your races this evening?

In D, it was just me and Joffey who knew what we were doing (out of 23 riders). Some of the comments were getting a bit salty towards the end as they realised that we weren't minutes ahead because we were sandbagging (as they originally thought) but because we'd outsmarted them! All rather amusing

They were on roadies with us until a couple of know it alls piped up.

Then I was messing about with a playlist at the start of the race and missed the first few seconds and had to sprint on....not textbook

That was fun!

My first even Wahoo League win which was also my first outright race win on Zwift (the actual Zwift race, you know what I mean) and all thanks to @steverob and his MTB advice :becool:

It was a fast start but I managed to keep up with the road bikes on the 2km lead in to the dirt. I looked and Steve was a few seconds behind and didn't know if I should attack or wait up... I thought it best to attack and went for a 25km solo breakaway. Managed to keep everyone at bay by the end of the first climb and then extended my lead each lap thereafter.

Quite interesting how no one twigged on that me and Steve were on MTBs and changed.

On the climb on lap 3 with everyone settled in their positions we all dropped the pace and rolled over the line. Series done. And a new FTP of 262!

We did pretty well in D:
528464

I picked up 2nd overall, Steve picked up 3rd and @JLaw picked up 4th :okay:

528465

And Team D picked up 1st position overall.

A thought the series as a whole was very enjoyable. Well done to everyone who entered in every Cat!

I now have 3 more races to secure the DBR Wed night league!!

(I think I'm running quite close to the 95% limit now looking at tonight's ride - could someone who knows what they are doing maybe have a look for me on Zwift Power and see if that is the case so I can adjust my effort not to get DQ'd on the Wed night league? - Thanks)

Didn’t you get a small boost from an annual drivetrain clean about six months ago? Or was that someone else?

Well done @Alongo - looks like bronze position for you this evening! I came nowhere after a suicidal mission off the front with 1.5KM to go but hopefully you saw my private message saying I would be going for it and was able to cruise wheels up to me :okay:

I sprinted for some primes so didn’t feel my legs would do anything in the final sprint so thought I’d just go a bit further out:smile:

Thanks @BurningLegs , I nearly lost the group when you sprinted for points on the first lap , yeah ,saw your message , it was worth a go , “ he who dares “👊 . Surprised to see a few road bikes in that group too , someone got upgraded and I wander if he was on a road bike and was having to push too much power . Very enjoyable series , look forward to what comes next , thanks everyone , I think Cycle Chat made a good showing in all categories throughout 👍.
@IrishAl , @berty bassett , @BurningLegs , what kit we wearing for the podium on Friday , I’m limited to the Zwift selections as I don’t have a laptop to sign up for the special kits .

Sorry guys ... I let myself down,, my friends down, my family down

For all the great work the team did tonight ... and feck me, what an amazing team effort :hugs: .... I just couldn't drop him. Legs just didn't have it tonight. I thought we'd have him on the 2nd climb but he had the 2 strong riders with him who kept bringing him back (plus Ferres initially until he went off the front).

Really enjoyed riding as a team :okay:

The sprints probably did it too for me tonight - 'won' points on the first sprint but looks like that didn't count :banghead: 3rd on 2nd sprint, but nothing on 3rd sprint and almost dropped. I knew at that point i didn't have much left.

Had to work really hard that final climb to not get dropped. I was on my limit the whole way up. So glad you didn't wait for me Brendan - much better for you to beat Ferres

Thanks @Ketty , @mjd1988 , @Freelanderuk , @Brendan Parker , @CXRAndy for the support on the road and @Marino.g for the support on chat :okay:

Sorry about the discord ,I thought I had turned it off ,as I need the beat and rhythm to keep me going 😂😂🚴‍♂️

I gave it my all on the first lap trying to give Carl some draft for the first prime ,don’t know if it worked I had sweat pouring and rode the last lap and half on my own ,

Well done Tim you rode a good race and well done to all the others ,not seen any results yet has had to go out straight after the race and just got back
Cracking ride all 🚴‍♂️🚴‍♂️🚴‍♂️🚴‍♂️ Ride On

Does his chatter drive you nuts? It certainly did for me a couple years ago when we were racing C together. I think I muted everyone in response.

I was trying to get the race up on my display so I could sneak glances during the meeting, but was unable to do so. I did bring the race up on ZP and you were running away with it every time I looked. Great job!
