I have just done a social ( RACE ). ride with the Herd Down under on the jungle loop on mountain bikes and even that was hard work ,3 laps , down on my race watts in the DBR league by about 20 watts , I took Gold 😂😂😂

Here are my times if any of the C team wish to try swapping bikes on the route befor Monday

Any B’s fancy a race this evening?

I'm doing the DBR race at 7.05 UK, and so is @Joffey and maybe @steverob (in D). 2x Richmond UCI Worlds is the course, 33 km in total.

Did the Cobbled Climbs route AKA Richmond Hilly 3x in yesterday's race, which is the same route just without most of the resting/flatter sections.

How you guys when you go to ride alone outdoor after indoor sessions on Zwift how close of same avg speed you can go?. Can you get even 5km/h range or probably same speed if you ride flat for example?.

No. If you do a TT ride on Zwift on a flat route, you would probably get close, but as soon as there is hills, groups, drafting etc. involved you can't compare them. Having the Assiomas the only thing comparable is the watts, but that tells nothing about your speed in the real world.

I think Zwift speeds are broadly comparable to riding a closed road event in a group. On average I am slower than Zwift but that is because:

1. In Zwift you are pedalling 100% of the time
2. On roads you have to stop at lights, junctions etc.
3. Downhill cornering is faster than IRL
4. I'm often riding solo with no drafting.

I just try to find comfort for my own real world rides

TT bike is best option if you like to do solo ride without draft. I think it would be more realistic if virtual asphalt on Zwift would give more rolling resistance, it feels too perfect now.

I was going to maybe join a b race and see how long o could hold on for as I’m back on my weight loss and I think that will push me over soon so try to get used to it  if you fancy it

Join the DBR one, not many takers tonight however... Probably won't give you the true feeling of a B-cat start as opposed to the feltet.dk race starts, with 100+ starters in B.

Looks like a good format, @Norry1 but 6PM is too early for me - family dinner time at 5PM means even the current series with a 6:15 start is difficult and I have to be careful not to eat too much!
