It's too late now but my default climbing setup is the Canyon Ultimate with enve Ses 3.4 wheels ... For a rolling course I swap to Zip 808's

Oh no! Did you finish the race??

I enjoyed that! Finished 30th on the road, ride the final section from escalator with one guy and resisted the urge to pull a turn and sucked the wheel all the way to the line. He sprinted but I went with him and out-sprinted him!:becool::hyper::wahhey:

Got a PR on box hill and an increased FTP too (236W>253W) so a nice race overall.

Can’t believe my piddly climbers legs out sprinted someone

Top 10 of the c race!

Really good ride, @Whorty cheers for the pull but I destroyed myself on the first box hill, new FTP 274, pb of 8.09 (over a minute...and got dropped 🥳)

Really disappointed in my sprint, got beat by all the riders around me. @Freelanderuk just behind me and Carl first c rider

I had given up before box hill , there were riders mainly Spanish doing 4W+ on the flat. I could see them for a long time because They were in no mans land between groups

Well done everyone CArl, Michael. Chris, you paced your ride well finishing strong by the time.:okay:

Yeah the numbers flying around were crazy. Roll on the new sandbagging laws! Sounds like the b's and ds have done well (there will be loads of dqs in both)

D results are not in yet on Zwift Power, or rather of the few that are, all of them have been filtered out for one reason or another. But looking down the list, I think @Marino.g is in with a good shout of getting a podium place and I'm hoping for top 10, but that will depend upon how many people on the list are actually signed up on ZP.

As for the race itself, my legs are just jelly. @Marino.g , @Joffey and myself all got to the bottom of the hill in the same group, about 20th-25th on the road, but probably more like 10th-15th if you took out the sandbaggers. And that's where it all fractured apart as the climb took the heavier riders like myself backwards fast. I was only 27 seconds off my PB for Box on the first lap, but another minute and a half slower on lap 2 as I just faded massively.

Two guys overtook me on the little hill after Box, but I managed to tuck in behind them on the descent and stayed with them all the way to the Tower. One then launched an attack and I followed, dropping the other guy, before I won the sprint for the line itself, giving me at least something to be proud of!

I'll admit I probably should have waited for @Joffey on the flat bits of the 2nd lap and worked with him, but I feared that if I started to coast, I'd never be able get back up to speed again. Sorry about that!

I saw you up ahead but didn't try to reach you as I'm not feeling great - I'd have only slowed you down! Well ridden, I was surprised to see you again after the first ascent up Box - I just couldn't keep in contact on the climb. Great ride @Marino.g, hopefully a podium for you to make up for last week. And well done @Ketty - saw you get in a nice group and worked well with them. Learning your Zwift race craft! :becool:
