Interestingly (or not) I don't feel the drafting in Zwift on the Pro. I see the avatar sit up which suggests he's in a draft, but unlike on BSIM I don't feel the resistance slack on Zwift. I have to push just as hard to say in the group, and if I slack off I quickly drop off the back. What do none Pro users feel? Do you feel anything in a draft like lower resistance so you don't have to push as hard? Marino asked the same recently as he also didn't 'feel' the draft.
Same here - don't feel it but assume it's working. I also get a bit of lag between increasing or decreasing power and the reaction on screen which makes it tricky to stay comfortably in a group, or catch a rider and not just shoot on past! I did blame the Bkool for this but Monte noticed I had the same kind of lag on his Neo. It's a bit annoying but I'm gradually getting better at managing it.

Looks like I may need a head start though as the Pro hasn't got as much of an advantage as first thought so I'll need every bit of help I can get

Well, if I am goaded....

Re the draft, I have always felt it in Zwift either on pro or Neo. It has always been one of the attractions. But then I am now so aware of it I try to surf it and bounce from 1 set of riders to another.

Racing? Why don’t we all start with a Kiss Race? We can all start in B ^_^
7pm is best for me and thinking selfishly Tuesday fits in with my training regime. This gives us time to explore and set up our own races. In meantime we can all agree a kit to wear ((zsun?) to aide identification.

On the Kickr Snap and I dont 'feel' any draft affect either, the speed increases though. When I was doing a free ride a few weeks ago, I did a couple of laps by myself and joined a group as they came past. The next two laps were a lot faster for for same HR.

There is a setting for that in Zwift - you can set power to be instant or average over 3 seconds (which it sounds like yours is currently). I have mine set at instant.

I thought that setting just affected what power figure was displayed on screen, not the actual reaction to input? I will try changing it though and see if it makes any difference

Edit: To be clear I'm not talking about a lag in what power is displayed on screen - I hardly really bother looking at this - but a delay between what I'm doing and how my avatar on screen reacts

Interesting - I couldn't feel any change of resistance in the draft on the Neo either. Not saying it doesn't work - I'm know it does - just that it seems to work by increasing speed for a given effort, rather than reducing resistance

I believe that is what that setting does - when I first used Zwift I found I was reacting too slow to attacks, or overshooting the group but changing this setting seem to work better (either that or my reaction time has improved!)

There is a lag in response of the avatar and I am afraid the trick is to watch the avatar and the rider details in list right hand side to try and gauge what they are doing. Not easy.

The draft effect for me is noticeable not huge but noticeable, you dont feel a sudden resistance drop but more of a relaxed and easier peddling if that makes sense, you will notice more of a change in the w/kg on the right in the riders nearby panel when riding, bigger the group the more draft

so for example i was spat out of the back when riding with zsun and bob last night in the pack it was around 2.5-2.7 w/kg to get back on i had to do 5-5.5w/kg soon as i got near i could ease off the power some times i would go straight to the front as the draft effect took hold, at times when i was on the front i was doing 3.3-4 w/kg.

I think what people are expecting is a sudden drop in resistance and hardly any peddling and get sucked along, as we know bkool and zwift are very different in how they write there software for other trainers so let's not go down that road .

How far are you from Nottingham carl your more than welcome to try mine:okay:

I'd say a 4-5 hour drive depending on time of day. I live in deepest darkest SW Wiltshire (near Shaftesbury).
