Joined a group ride earlier. It was a bit faster than advertised. While I was sorting out a sensor I got spat out the back. Even hammering it I couldn't catch up and eventually ran out of steam. Did half an hour with some other left behind guys then quit. Lesson learned, get my setup working before the start.
Now when fence is off group rides are faster than advertised. Of course you can stick with leader but most riders lose their self-control because there is no danger to kick out of event so at least half of riders ride like it was a race. Fence should come back end of month, hope it work.

Quite a few hotshots joining tomorrows race, including a few world tour riders and the reigning European team pursuit champion.

<edit>
Sorry, that's reigning team pursuit World Champion, and crushing the world record too. Norman is regning Madison world champ as well.

Vuelta a España and Tour de France stage winner Magnus Cort joining as well. He's got a hell of a sprint...looking forward to watch the race tonight.

What are tactics for tonight?

For me, I think the key section will be the bit out the pens, and the ramp up to the volcano. It's not steep, but it's long enough that some riders will be able to hang on almost to the top, then 'pop' and there is a risk of being caught in their sticky. It's going to have to be a balls out attack from the off to try and stay in the first 30 riders.

Once up the ramp the only risk points are the 2 little lumps on the volcano, and the little lump just before the start/finish banner (which it looks like is also the sprint section). I'm trying nothing fancy tonight, just hang on to the front group as long as I can, not go into the red, and wheel-suck for all it's worth :laugh:

A few riders from last week, like Del, have been pushed up to B cat, so we should all hopefully gain a few places tonight :okay: I've a feeling this one may push me over the edge though and I may be joining Del next week in B :sad:

Just try and hang in there for me and try to pick up a few extra places as the race continues, as long as we finish in the top 30 we get points added to our total tally, must have a reccy of the race route

My pb for this was set October 6.34 2018 and 6.46 this January, what bike and wheels for tonight do you think will be best?

@Joffey why don't you join @steverob tonight? Working together you should be able to secure podium for both of you!

Cut the power - solved....
Have you rebooted everything including turning of the Neo and unplugging and making sure that it’s not connected ( Bluetooth or ant+) to any other app.

I did all that first time round and even after a full reboot, resistance was minimal. It still varied but with lack of intensity like usual.

It all returned now after new Zwift install. :okay:
