Please do. Trying to persuade Mrs B and nipper to have a go at half term. Not all of it just the first day or so. Stay overnight, turnaround and back.

Re your other post like I said we also got lost because we deviated off the main or recognised route.

I will Bob. I know videos from someone else's trips are boring, so the clips are only a few minutes, Ditchling climb, ave Verte, and run in to Paris. The video of the track is useful just to show how smooth and wide it is and very unpopulated by anything other than cyclists, walkers.

If you're interested in the route I'll do a graphic of the bits where you would miss out due to going slightly wrong.

I don't know how far you're proposing to go Bob, the route out of Dieppe to Neufchâtel-en-Bray is 35km on Avenue Verte. It climbs, albeit only a slight gradient over the whole section, no super steep bits other than getting out of Dieppe itself. A lovely morning ride at kids pace

Don't you dare!
Get some recovery time in.
I have had 1 proper Zwift ride after 10 days off the bike so if my ftp went up yours may do with some proper rest!

Racecraft for the win:okay:

Probably - I think my ability to go over FTP and then recover is also improving. May need to get back to some TrainerRoad structure - I've not done it for a while, mainly due to racing.

New HR bests yesterday for me on my ftp :

your peak 5 second heart rate was 193 BPM

- your peak 10 second heart rate was 180 BPM

- your peak 1 minute heart rate was 179 BPM

- your peak 5 minute heart rate was 177 BPM

- your peak 10 minute heart rate was 176 BPM

- your peak 20 minute heart rate was 174 BPM

I am nearly 55y old so that 193bpm makes me feel proud but a little wobbly too.

After a week or so off from riding my heart rate jumped into mid 180's. Can't presently get over 179bpm. Rested rider, fresh for a week or two

Same for me. My HR ceiling seems to be around 167, takes a huge effort to get it above 160. When I used to go running 10 years or so ago, it would regularly hit 200, so not sure why it's so low these days.
