Well that was dreadful.
Dropped chain at start of Alpe. Was completely isolated from start to finish. Couldn’t sub 60 Alpe as racing to the start kills you.
That said, a great work out.
I should have rested last night, ohh well onwards & side ways.
@Milzy I don't know how to break this to you but due to the meet up function doing weird stuff I don't think you have completed the timed segment we're putting on the league, as that is going up the Alpe and back down and you've stopped at the top (I guess because that's when it said the meetup route was finished?)

What I think has happened is because I chose the road to sky route and changed the distance to 34km, instead of just going up and back down as I intended, the system chose a route that took a longer distance to end up at the top of the Alpe after 34km - and it seems it also chose a different route for most of us!

Sorry for the confusion - I won't blame you if you just want to call it a day with that ride and start again with the next league! Not a ride you want to repeat at full gas too often is it?!

Sent me and @peterob off course, should have quit event and just started on Road to Sky but rode a steady 20 km, then jumped into Hare n hounds Innsbruck up n down race. Rode a fast 4 laps of town circuit followed by Epic Kom. Will try and get the Alp in on Monday if weather isn’t too nice. Shame about the glitch

Well done you guys who rode tonight ,I had to miss it due to other commitments, away again Monday for a week with the grandkids so no Zwifting , then when we get back got to start packing up the house as moving to a bungalow to help the wife with her MS. I finely will get a pain cave as it got an attached garage with a large space to set up the trainer and bike^_^

Yes mate that's exactly what Carl and I just did. Road to Sky, full gas from the start, up the Alpe, carry on round the top and back down. Complete 34 km just to be sure the full segment is definitely completed
I spotted pretty soon it had gone Pete Tong so I decided as I'd already done a pretty good warm up I just restarted Zwift and chose Road to Sky. I pushed all the way - wasn't sure if I could hold on the whole way but I felt pretty good and just kept pushing on. Wasn't expecting a PB on the Alpe but after turn 2 I could see I was close so I upped the power and by the time I crossed the line I was blowing chunks xx( I used the descent as my 'cool down'. Pretty pleased with my time. @Norry1 - I hope I set you a good challenge :okay:

Trying to recruit someone to draft you to the base of the Alpe eh? I see your game Basset :ninja:

Because the group race finish line came up, I couldn’t be bothered going back down. I normally would as a “spin down” as well.
Not bothered about about the league, already came late to the party, just here for fun & fitness.

Duff duff music seems to be best selection but if you need extra boost in a critical moment then Survivors eye of the tiger might work :training:.

Was looking at your power on and off on the Companion App. Looked like you were smashing it. Might sound defeatist, but I reckon you might have nicked it. Will see what I can do.

I was close to my limit the whole way. Trying to not go too far into the red, but also knowing I had to keep pushing if I was to set you a decent time to chase. Good luck tomorrow mate ... It's definitely doable for you with your weight and power. :okay:

Shame the meetup messed up last night. Only 3 times completed so far for the stage as a consequence. I rode with (New) Andy for a bit - being pretty naive in Zwift it took me a while to realise that we were on the wrong course. I called it a day after a half hour as the forecast looked good for today so thought I'd save my legs for a good ride itrw (although that's now been kiboshed by HID).

The Tour de Watopia (and therefore the new league) starts on Tuesday, so I'll keep the current league open until the end of Monday if you do fancy a solo slog up the Alpe (or any other stage for that matter).

If you do fancy joining the new league, just make sure that you have joined the Cyclechat team in ZwiftPower and you will be added if you complete a stage of the Tour de Watopia.

Current league table following last night's rides:
