Great to see so many CCers this morning. Bailed out of Audax after 77km as I have to have time to empty the garage of wallpaper and old carpets in order to fulfil my St Patrick's day stereotype (nearly held onto the green jersey as well but someone nabbed it) cheers all!
I have no idea what wallpaper and carpets have to do with St. Patrick's day. Over here it's all about green beer and corned beef and cabbage.

Did a 3hr IRL today. The plan was to stay under 190 watts, but that is quite hard to do.

Anyway, got it done - very necessary to start prepping for ToC which is getting closer!

It says Watopia flat route 7 miles but over all 19 miles - any idea where it starts and finishes

Looks like I may miss the Thursday event again - so will have to do another solo. What are the mechanics for this one? Will my time be taken from adding up the 4 strava segments for Watopia Flat? https://www.strava.com/segments/12136784

Looking at the times to date, looks very, very close between some of us

That was my assumption, yes. 4 full loops, then add the times of those loops :okay:

If you're doing the route on your own separately, you just need to select the Watopia Flat route (10.3km/6.4m) and do THREE laps (not 4), which - including the lead out from where you're spawned - should be just under 32km/19.9miles. There are a number of segments already set up to cover the whole 3 laps combined - I suggest we use "Flat Route Forward 3 laps (Checked)" - https://www.strava.com/segments/12211763?filter=club&gender=all&club_id=126532

Probably best if you warm up elsewhere, and then start your ride in Watopia Flat, and ride flat out from the start (don't wait until the banner just in case the segment starts slightly before it), and as long as you've ridden for 32km/19.9 miles you should have definitely completed the three lap segment that we'll take the time from. (I recce'd the course yesterday and I'd completed the three lap segment after about 31.5km from where I was spawned).

Remember to do it on a TT bike too.

Cheers @bridgy :okay:

I'll also not be able to make it at 7pm on Thursday so will be doing it solo. Unless anyone else fancies doing at approx 5pm either Wednesday or Thursday?
