Very well done, Phil! How long did it take you? Obviously you had to stop for pictures and breaks: I've put Strava on my mobile for long rides, because it tells you the actual moving time.
Did you get a bit lost or managed to follow the route as planned?

Congratulations!!!!!!! I will have to reach my target of a 50 miler this summer then. Just don't expect me to join you on a 100 miler anytime soon!
 I have a flat (ish) 50 mile route in mind. Ready when you are!

I don't think I shall be doing another 100 miler straight away so no need to worry about that just yet.

Thanks.^_^

I don't do lycra. It is a carbon fibre t-shirt though:laugh: (made from bamboo charcoal apparently).
I don't much like the feeling of lycra either, have a few items but rarely wear them. Now, the bamboo stuff I find great: got 2 bamboo tops from Aldi, better than the only merino t-shirt I posses.
Would love a few bamboo leggings, need to find out where/if they are available.

The moving time was 7 hours 56 minutes, but with stops (which got more frequent towards the end) the total time was just over 10 hours. My route planning was all the old fashioned way with an OS map, so there were a few stops for that too (oh, and I did get lost - took a wrong turning in High Ercall, which confused me for a few minutes. :shy: )

Need some 30 to 40 milers first!! Was going to do a 35 miler last Saturday, but gave it a miss due to the strong wind. With the forecast over the next couple of weeks it doesn't look much like cycling weather either...........Summer?????!

Good moving time, well done!
The upper body soreness, btw, I get that too. Probably from bending towards the bars trying to "push" uphill

It doesn't look great does it. The info I've got is a week of bad weather and hints of something a little better as we go into July. We can but hope.
