The warmest day of the year so far in Shropshire and so after spending most of it in the office, I needed a trip out this evening!
One of my regular evening rides, setting out to Uffington, Upton Magna, where I overtook another cyclist
(Doesn't happen very often!) Rodington Heath, Roden and Poynton, where I was passed at a ridiculously close margin on the narrow lane by a knob in a Citroen Picasso. He didn't even slow down and I think missed me by about 2 inches. If he had waited I would have pulled in ahead, but there is always 1 isn't there!
It was then onto Bings Heath, and up Ebury Hill, where a couple walking gave me encouragement as I neared the top, "keep going it gets better in a minute" they said
.
It was indeed better as I flew downhill with the strengthening northerly breeze behind me and indeed down the bank by haughmond hill I hit 32mph
.
I then turned into the wind for the remainder of the trip home
