Although I live abroad, I've met some great people here on CC in real life. Most, if not all of them, get on with each other, as well, (or so it seems) which is interesting, but I suppose like attracts like.

I feel that my forum persona is very close to my 'real life' self: I don't take myself too seriously, love a laugh and a joke, and don't particularly like/admire people with an exaggerated opinion of themselves. Fortunately, those people are few and far between (and NOT as obvious to recognise as you might think). But it's the main reason why I avoid P&L (or whatever it's called these days) as there is far too much spite and malice there.

Give me the trivial, irreverent, schoolboy humour of the caf anyday.

Long live CC and the members who make it such a great forum to 'live' on.

I think I'm probably more likely to pull people up on stuff they say on here than I would in real life, which is something I regret a bit. I'm rather shyer in real life. Otherwise, I'd say I'm talkative and fond of word play, so perhaps quite like online.

When I'm working, especially in winter in a heavy coat, people approaching me often say "Hey, mate...?" so that's pretty much like on here then...

Arguing on a forum is much more fun than arguing in real life... in real life i'm not in a position to google my opinion before responding
