Anyone else got any experiences?

Did my first proper one this year and wrote about it in touring. It was a bit boring by comparison though .

And I have suggested a tour, but we can't leave the cat unattended....

<<<<<<<Noodles here, used to have one of those timer bowls and a load of dried food which would see her through a weekend.

Friendly house and cat sitters where used for week and two week hols

Oh bless your innocence and naivety...;)
Our cat is a million year old diva, with fussy tastes, a penchant for lap and brush on demand and a habit of changing her mind over the food that she'll eat on a daily basis. Oh and did I mention the kidney tablets (daily), the steroids (as her skin allergy demands) and the 'stool bulking agent' that has to go in every meal? That's before we get onto her hairy bloomers and the way that they collect the occasional nugget of poo.

High maintenance? Oh yes.....

Aha. I get it. Your cat owns two humans whom it's taken a while to train up for the job ;)

Nothing quite as blinding as the misadventure described above, but on the first day of my lejog I turned on my GPS and it told me i was 3,800 miles off course and should be somewhere in the egyptian/libyan border in the middle of the desert.

On my first ever tour I tore a quadricep after 20 miles and so that was the end of that...
