Breakfast at Tiffanys

good to see audrey hepburn in your list IC;), never seen school for scoundrels though and really must make a point of tracking it down some time:blush:

breakfast at tiffanys:biggrin: - she's so gloriously fickle, I want to be her!
amelie - just a beautiful quirky film
brief encounter - makes me cry like no other film ever will:cry:
some like it hot - so funny:biggrin::biggrin::biggrin:
How to marry a millionaire and Gentlemen prefer blondes;) continuing the mariyln theme a bit but they are just fabulous
The importance of being earnest (NOT the 2002 remake!!!) - a HAndbaGGG???
The time machine - I'm still scared by the future creatures in this film:evil:

oh and...
BIG, Airplane, gremlins, mary poppins, the little shop of horrors, the indiana jones films and life of brian and any steve martin or mel brooks film - OK so they are cheesy as hell, but I will always watch them if they are on and I still laugh at them.;)

Far too many to say, but here are some abiding faves (meaning that they've stood up to repeated watchings and I still consider them brilliant):

Amelie
Tati Danielle
Blue Velvet
Best In Show
Royal Tenenbaums
The Life Aquatic With Steve Zissou
Napoleon Dynamite
The Happiness Of The Katakouris
Ichi The Killer
Zatoichi
Hero
Man Bites Dog
Mars (never released here, but after seeing it at the Edinburgh Film Festival 2005, I emailed the Russian film company and they couriered me a free DVD overnight !! Think Amelie crossed with Lynchian weirdness.)
Cinema Paradiso
Delicatessen
Le Diner Des Cons
The Star Wars Trilogy

Also forgot about Man Bites Dog - that's a cracker of a film but a bit sick (jet black humour)!

All time favourite film ever has to be Blade Runner, with zillions of very close runners up.

Recently though, I very much enjoyed Little Miss Sunshine - an absolute gem.
