I chanced upon this today, at Rous Lench, north of Evesham. Just an ordinary Victorian wall box, but with an extraordinary surround:

Post-ride investigation shows that there are at least two similar examples within a few miles of this one. Another time...

Also, I was amused to find this picture on Wikimedia, showing that someone was similarly inspired in 1985:

Not sure i have come across one although the 30s design didnt change much when EIIR took over!

Stetten, near Stuttgart. A lot of post boxes here seem to be faded, I'm not sure why.

This Edward VII post box is on the corner of a weird junction in the middle of a one way system in Walkden. But last Monday evening, I actually stopped at the lights and crossed over to get the picture in the evening sunshine.
