A bridge on the Bowes Railway Path at Wardley, over the (still in place but horrendously overgrown) tracks of a line that came off Pelaw junction, down through Washington and Birtley and up past Stanley to Consett. Most of the route apart from the bit under here to Follingsby is now railway cycle / walking paths. This was taken on my longest ride of the year so far (a whopping 24 miles), back on 8th March at about 5p.m. as I was heading back up to the car park at the Tanfield Railway. The temperature hit about 17 degrees C that day!
