apologies for posting this up again, but one of my favourite cycling areas, Penmon Point, NE coast of Anglesey....

The remains of the Lancashire Canal link to the Leeds Liverpool Canal. Its semi walkable and a local chap does do guided walks occassionally. The rest of the canal north to Preston has been built on though the tramway that linked the two is now quite a nice cycle route.
