I believe those are on the site of old mill sheds on the other side of the L&L. The tallest of the group is a survivor from the mill. Not sure, but I think it is an engine house.

Old Town Mill​

nicked off the developers web page;
"Old Town Mill, or Mitchell Mill as it is known locally, is a Grade 2 listed former textile mill situated north of Hebden Bridge. The mill dates back to 1851 with later additions in the 1880’s. The mill was extended in the 1890s for the Mitchell Brothers, to accommodate a worsted mill. Old Town Mill is a good example of an integrated mill where an original weaving shed was adapted to incorporate advancements in mechanisation – for example the addition of the engine room for a small beam engine. The mill is a prominent landmark on the horizon with stunning views towards Hepstonstall and Stoodley Pike.
In the early 1960s the mill site was used for poultry keeping, sheepskin rug manufacture and cattle."

I cycled the Rochdale Canal today, its a very industrial canal and has a lot of warehouses and other remnants alongside. This is the old Rochdale Branch, now filled in, it used to run into the town centre. Only a roofless warehouse is still there.

Herdman's Linen Mill, once an enormous concern and they had created a "model" village for the workforce. They didn't allow a pub though!

Now a ruin.

The old Bolton and Paul / Jeld Wen wood mill in Lowestoft, Suffolk.

(Closed in 2010 with the loss of over 200 jobs. May well have been way more than that employed at it's peak......

A 400 year old corn mill, still in working order and now a museum. The water wheel is "new" iron replacement from about 1897.

Industry ? How about an Old facade (?) on what is a fully operating; but also very quaint looking shop in Lowestoft’s Old high Street…..

Part of the long gone Cockfield Fell coke ovens, no idea what part it was, but there appears to be a small culvert of sorts running away from the bottom corner.
