Coincidence of topography!
Love when that happens
Coincidence, but also similar geology. Ettrick has sandstones, mudstones and slates. Bowland has mainly gritstone, a fine sandstone, so they would weather In similar ways and tend toward similar topography.

And again as usual my first gate of the year is my back gate complete with the gubbins for the solar panels & battery .

A bit of a cheat this year as I completely forgot about it on the way out in the morning, so this was taken on the afternoon return.

I’m sure (Ref to your weather report) !! 🤣

What’s the inkling in the bike ? You must have some hopefully smug thoughts already, surely……

For a 14kg (as shown) bike it's surprisingly fast and very similar in feel to the Ti version. Can't vouch for comfort as the tyres are at 80psi (I do like a solid arse feel through the saddle) but the steel frame does seem to iron out the worst of the vibrations caused by the local knackered roads. The best I can say is smooth.
I do wish that Shimano would re-design the shifters to make them more SRAM like in size and cable run though.
