Maybe if you pay for entry or are a member of English Heritage. As you say, it would be a fair old climb going up!! Also dodging all the excited kids with wooden swords plus families. Reckon you could ride up carrying a wooden lance to get in the right spirit and to help clear the way (until you keel over).
