Yeah, but the South East English countryside stinks more London**. I've a lot of non-working experience of working farms in Australia (in parts that are not short of space) but have never smelt anything in my life like a slurry or whatever is making that hellish smell that I often encounter in the South East country side.
Aside - Odd skill I didn't know I had: I can tell sheep from cattle by the smell of their manure. I developed this skill in Australia, but never noticed it because I was never exposed to the level of ... um ... odour there.
**and I say this living within a few miles of the aforementioned sewage processing plant.
