@Jameshow - I'll probably work it out as I go - and it does depend on how I recover from tomorrow's planned ride to Bridlington and back - but at a guess:
Dewsbury > n. of Wakefield > Methley > Castleford > Fairburn > South Milford/Sherburn > Cawood > York via the path (as long as I remember that bit). Google maps shows it as just under 40 miles. I might also stop at the Maltings Tea Rooms in South Milford en route; they have very big cake pieces.
The alternative via Garforth & Tadcaster is shorter but could get a bit busy on a Saturday.
I was going to enter the 100km audax but driving to York to do a 100km ride rather than look at the fair, then driving back, didn't seem to make sense imo.
