Will go to the cemetery some time over the Xmas break. A bit bleak isn't it?

Have the same thing my mums b/day would be Dec 23rd she died 2nd january 2 days after my b/day when i was 16[am now 42].I didn't enjoy xmas for years its only since I've had kids that I've started to enjoy it again.

My xmas is always split between the parents and the in laws.
This year, like last year is possibly someone in the family's 'last' christmas so it will be a bit wobbly. But we will enjoy it. One day I would like to have christmas in my own home, which hasn't been the case for the 17 years since I left home.

New year we are at home and going to a 1940s theme party at the pub. After much deliberation me and the other half are going as the dad's army arrows, complete with a special dance. We're both going to be British arrows though as neither of us wanted a swastika on our head.

Indeed, and I would hate to be a killjoy and ruin the kid's Christmas. Will probably ride up to the cemetery on Xmas or boxing day with my eldest. My Mum and Dad (keen rider in his youth) would have liked that.
