Turkey for lunch and a nap later due to excessive red wine, port and whisky intake. Boxing Day ride with friends and family to clear the head followed by a couple of lunchtime pints in the Cleveland Inn.

Christmas Day has been decreed as the 27th December in my family this year to fit round my sisters and their in-laws so I may get the bike out and take advantage of the quiet roads on Christmas Day itself. No plans for the New Year as yet.

On Xmas, i plan to go for a ride early-ish in the morning. Didnt get out last year, thought i would wait till afternoon then just didnt want to go out.
New years i will be out on bike maybe. Up early normally to do a paper round(woekn up by the phone ringing, and the guy from the paper shop saying, papers are in, then puting the phone down)

I should be home in Manila with the kids for the first time for a few years, so am looking forward to that. Will be out on the bike for most days although there might be the odd morning where 'tiredness' prevents this happening!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm hopefully off from the 18th through to 5th Jan (wife working until Xmas Eve - I'll be off with the kids). We're cooking Xmas lunch, so certainly no bike rides.....in laws are round (bit much for them to cook a big meal these days) then at some point it will be my folks, followed by New Year at our house. Nothing major, we generally take it easy. I'll be avoiding the shops though - hate them.

We are going abroad for Christmas. Will spend the whole week in Whitstable Kent (like you do), and will be the first English Christmas for years.

Is the telly likely to be good this year, or will we be treated to yet another repeat of a Morecombe and Wise Christmas Show?

Sounds pretty much like my Xmas. Finish on the 19th until the 5th. Missus working until 23rd. Got the family round at ours on Xmas Day, ride on Boxing day morning and then out for a meal with family in the afternoon. Followed by decorating the nursery, and re-tiling the bathroom. Probably not much on New Year's Eve - can't stand all the fuss, missus AndyLaw will be 30 weeks by then and has hinted she probably won't want to go out - only at friends if we decide to anyway.
