WTF do women want?????????????????????

Slightly off topic, or maybe not.

A friend told me of their experience with a Relate counsellor. The counsellor told them that their relationship was over and it was best to acknowledge that and formally finish it! Not quite what was expected but, knowing the couple, it was the truth. In their heart, my friend knew it too.

they're difficult ...sometimes impossible ... after a lifetime of trying to understand women I finally admit that we are two very different species

Men and women want such different things out of life. I have long since realised that we need to let people be what they are and not try to change them into what we want them to be.

We need to develop ourselves and our own independant interests etc without being totally dependant on another person for direction, motivation,enjoyment ,satisfaction and everything else.

I have had a friendship with a woman for the past 15 years . In all that time she has never shown me or anyone any affection never kissed me, stroked me, or hugged me. She is as far as I can make out incapable of feeling any emotion, affection or attachment to anybody.

I on the other hand live for it. I am my most content when I can feel and show affection to others .

You can imagine that it has been a difficult relationship over the years .

We have survived by allowing each other to be who we are and not trying to change each other. Its been hard work for both of us.
