Thanks Javelin. As it happens, I am hoping to get my hands on a bike this weekend (will confirm if that happens), but yours does look as if it would be a good buy for someone out there.

How about this. It's very small. Custom made by Orbit for an intrepid lady tourer. I bought it from the original owner for my daughter- but it turns out she doesn't want a bike. Classy components, 26 inch wheels. 19 inch seat tube. Far too good to strip for parts but only suitable for someone small. Would like to see it go to such a person. It will be inexpensive (cost £685 iwhen built in 1994)

Ah, that's lovely.

Sadly just a little bit too big for me. If it had a sloping top tube, I could make it work and I'd be really tempted - even though I'm not in the market for another bike right now. But with a horizontal top tube, I risk whacking myself where I don't want to whack myself. DAMHIKT...
