My husband would fail a drugs test. He's on EPO. The hospital give it to him every 4 weeks while he is dialysing. He still can't climb a hill for toffee though.

Thanks I guess salbutamol is only meant to level the playing field, opening up airwaves to a normal level.
Not sure about the average joe, but some of the more high profile sportive's (think Italian Fondo's and some of the larger French one's) are reporting testing amateurs with suspect fast times....and scoring some hits with dopers. Some people really do take it way too seriously.
I tried it for 10 days leading up to the Marmotte this year and I can't say I noticed any gains (not that that is a scientific analysis), but one thing I did note.....it tastes absolutely horrible. I'm talking the concentrated BeetIt shots, I had to have a strong coffee ready to go, so the moment it was down the neck I could swill some coffee to remove that nasty after taste...YUK.
