just seen todays team on MOTD, who the hell is ivanovic? no wonder they manage to score a couple, an awful centre back partnership and anelka was'nt on at the start.

Ivanovic is a good defender, he's given a good account of himself on each appearance. They miss John Terry's organisation, but that still seems lacking when he *is* actually on the pitch nowadays. Alex is alright, and Carvalho is top class.

I really dislike this 'big club' myth. Any team is as good as it's results at that time and if they can achieve success consistently they can be considered a club to beat. Look back 25, 50 and 100 years and the big clubs would have been Blackpool, Burnley, Newcastle, Huddersfield, the Royal Engineers or The Wanderers. Times change. This year could be better because it's not obvious who's going to win when a so-called top 4 club plays Hull or Stoke or Wigan or whoever.
