Worth it? Upgrading 2300 groupset on b'Twin Triban 3 (2011)

Agree with the others,just replace the consumables.If you were to upgrade the groupset you would probably need to upgrade the wheels too depending on what size cassette the hub takes and it would only be worth upgrading to something like the new Tiagra 10-speed if buying new.

the self help route may be your best bet here and don't be shy about asking for advice if you're not sure about the how to's. there are plenty of people on here who will give good advice.

my commuter has had 3 new chain/cassette replacements and 1 new bottom bracket before the chainrings wore to an unusable level.

maybe the op is confusing the wear from the chain for a worn chainring; picture would help…

the two outer rings on this chainset are worn, the inner one is not, how worn is the op's chainring?
