They've obviously not heard of the 1992 World Cyclo-Cross Championships, that were held in Roundhay Park (in Leeds)

I know, I was there, when the holder came to talk to the family who had put him up for a week (their sons were also in the GB junior squad), & I also knew, so was stood with them
I've still got that copy of Cycling Weekly, & the programmes (3 actually!)

Not yet but apparently they are going to try and visit all of yorkshire (north, east, south, west )

Don't know the actual history, but world champs generally have races that start and finish in the same place. The TTs are based there too.
