cheap set of ski gloves from sports direct.
lasted a couple of years now, never had cold hands.
i ride a SS so i don't need to change gears and i suppose they might be a bit bulky for that.

My favourite gloves are my Altura Windproof, always my first choice, combined with some Icebreaker glove liners if really cold.
I do have some Specialized sub-zeros but I do not really like them, too bulky, awkward and too warm.

I've got SealSkins - I wouldn't buy another pair. The lining is too loose, so getting them on again after the cafe stop is real grief. I've gone back to my trusty Decathlon's which are just completing their third winter.

I have had a pair of Endura gloves for winter use.Still going strong after 4 years and a lot of use.Have ridden in down to about -3 C .Would get another pair if I lost thjem or when they wear out. They were about £25 to £30 from memory.

I have some lightweight summer motorcycle gloves that are good, warm and comfortable for winter riding as well as being waterproof. However a few weeks ago I pulled on a pair of cheapo Thinsulate woolley gloves and they are brilliant. I have ridden in below freezing conditions and my hands and fingers have remained lovely and warm. I wish Thinsulate made socks!

I wear two pairs at once as they are thin enough and they have worked better than any other purpose made glove unless it's well below zero, when the outer gloves begins to wear you just buy another pair. The grip is top notch, dexterity is maintained and they don't restrict circulation.

For less chilly mornings you can get away with one pair under mitts.
