Hi everyone!
I was just wondering what you all wear on your eyes over the dark, rainy winter months?
As I have a pair of saftety goggle type things at the moment, which look pretty good actually, but they still let loads of rain in at the top and then I go blind for a little bit!
This probably isn't ideal.
Do you have any suggestions? As I am considering something along the swimming goggle route at the moment as I am fed up of getting rain in my eyes.

Any help would be cool.
Kris

Ive been using the aldi critvit glasses . They have a sponge inner lining around the frame and the arms come of and clip in an elastic head band and work a treat , mind you , you do end up looking like Biggles ..

Biggles eh? Im definately getting some of them!

I have been having a bit of a look around I think it is going to have to be a case of looking like a bit of a spanner, but being able to see the people laughing!
I've been looking at these;
Goggles
and unfortunately, my local Aldi is small and sells out of cycle stuff annoyingly quick.

Cheers for your help

i've been thinking along the same lines Krisgoss, rain in the eyes aint much good lol
i know aldi did some cycling glasses with 3 interchangable lenses, smoke colour, orange colour and clear, if i remember rightly they fitted really well to your face, maybe worth a try on ebay for some, they where only about 3 or 4 quid.

I've got those too and they work well, although I find they like fogging up - that may just be me overheating going uphill though

Wear a cap, you will be surprised how much rain it keeps from going into your glasses.
Absolutely!

A £6 trad. cycle cap from Prendas will do the trick. Can be worn under a cycle helmet too.
Safety glasses wearer here too, cheap as chips and 100% effective!

Whilst the subject of glasses. I have to get some persciption sports glasses because I'm fed up of having to stop in the country lanes to read the small road signs.(well there small to me) any ideas. Please don't mention white stick I've tried it and it got stuck in front.

fairly sure Sheldon says take the glasses off when it rains

I wear glasses ever day because of contacts but rain seems to damp down all the crap in the air, it's the rain on the outside of the glasses that causes the problem surely?

granted cold weaher bites

going to be trying the cap under helmet soon

Argos "Raleigh Cycle and Leisure Glasses", come with 3 lenses £10 and I wear contact lenses under them.

Sometimes its just my normal varifocals - depends where I'm going and how far.

Safety goggles and contact lenses for some winter trips - they're cheaper to replace if likely to be scratched by constant wiping

You could try wearing the peak that came with your helmet, though that will make you look like a mountain biker.
